The University of Oklahoma has been selected as a Certified Healthy Campus for its ongoing efforts to improve the health of its faculty, staff and students.

OU achieved the highest of three levels of certification, which is “Excellence.” OU and other award winners will be honored at a ceremony Feb. 28 at the Cox Convention Center.

The university has launched several new health programs during the past four years, including the annual Healthy Sooners 5K run, tobacco cessation assistance programs, and healthy eating and physical fitness programs for OU students, faculty and staff.
