NewsOK’s latest nDepth piece reminds us of Jim Thorpe’s greatness

I love our nDepth series on NewsOK.

Here’s why …

That’s just the top of the page. And yes, that’s a video player right in the middle of Jim Thorpe’s chest. Who doesn’t want to scroll down and read the rest of story after seeing such a striking presentation at the top?

Taylor Eldridge takes the reader through Thorpe’s legacy, beginning with his domination of the 1912 Olympics:

Stories spread. People gossiped. The oral legend of Thorpe swelled to the point where the first international celebrity was born.

But does Thorpe still resonate to the 140-character generation of today?

These nDepth pieces showcase our best design, our best photography (in this case, archived photography), our best story telling and our best videography.

Click through to see the story, the sidebars, the archived photos and more. Then share it with your friends on Facebook. It’s the kind of story people need to remember as they wind down their Olympic-viewing experience for 2012.
