Edmond to offer free mulch on Friday

Discarded Christmas trees, chipped into mulch, will be given away to Edmond residents starting at 8 a.m. Friday in J.L. Mitch Park. The free mulch is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

EDMOND — Free mulch, made from discarded Christmas trees, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. Friday.

City officials estimate they have chipped 1,600 Christmas trees that were dropped off as part of the city’s tree recycling program.
