Conference realignment was fast and accurate on NewsOK

Yesterday, I admitted to being a soccer fan.

That’s the truth.

But I’m also a big sports fan in general. I followed the conference realignment mess intently. And frankly, I was rooting for the PAC 16 to become reality.

I can tell you this, though. The coverage offered on the NewsOK sports pages was well-reported, accurate and fast.

When I received a breaking news text alert from NewsOK that notified me of a Berry Tramel report, I know the info was correct. And I knew the PAC 16 dream was over.

Berry reported on Monday morning that Texas was not going to accept the offer from the PAC 10. He also reported that OU and OSU would follow their lead. And later that night, his column told us why.

There were lots of reports on other outlets, some local and some national. Those reports quoted a lot of sources, some apparently good sources and some apparently bad sources.

Berry’s sources were good. And I knew they would be.
