We have a new LOOKatOKC.com website.

The new LOOKatOKC is actually a combination of the old NewsOK A&E page and the old LOOKatOKC home page. The hope is that this in an easier way for our audience to find relevant content about entertainment in our community. We no longer have two distinct brands covering the entertainment world. It’s now all encompassed in the new LOOKatOKC.

This is significant to me for two reasons.

  • I spent a couple of years working with talented entertainment specialists on the LOOKatOKC bi-weekly magazine as part of my position as Director of Custom Publishing a few years back. The magazine was still relatively new, but I saw it make great strides back then. And since my job has changed and George Lang has taken a more active role as LOOKatOKC editor, the product in the magazine racks has improved immensely. I’m proud of what that magazine has become.
  • It’s also significant because it marks a change in how we link to section front pages on NewsOK. If you click on the A&E in our main navigation, you go directly to LOOKatOKC. The site is still a part of the NewsOK family, but we are recognizing that our A&E audience requires a different presentation for the diverse content.

The site is visually striking and well-organized. Web editor Nick Tankersley worked with writers, editors and developers to organize the site. Graphic artist Matt Clayton did the design work.

I encourage you to visit daily. And tell us what you think as we move toward branding our digital initiatives for entertainment as the new LOOKatOKC.
