Oklahoma Matters to NewsOK video

Today seems like a good day to post a video.

We do so much video here at NewsOK that it’s sometimes easy to forget how difficult it was to transform our newspaper operation into a full-scale multimedia company. It’s sometimes easy to forget how difficult it was for hundreds of journalists to become multimedia talents.

This video I posted today is a great example because it features The Oklahoman’s editor, Ed Kelley, and his regular feature titled, “Oklahoma Matters.”

When we built our first small video studio in 2007, Ed began this feature. He hasn’t stopped.

We do lots of sports videos. We do lots of videos with the Food Dude and OKC Central’s Steve Lackmeyer. We do lots of Parties Extra! videos with Helen Ford Wallace. And we do tons of breaking news videos.

But Oklahoma Matters has been featured since the very beginning of video from the OPUBCO Studios.

Just seems like a good day to feature our video.
