A man accused of attacking a man and his pickup with a board and a crowbar was arrested on multiple complaints, Oklahoma City police reported Tuesday.
RaeQuwan Dewayne Howell, 20, was arrested on complaints of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, destroying property worth $2,500 or more, and obstructing an officer.
Police were called to 1912 NW 12 about 11 p.m. Thursday after a fight between Howell and Wilburn Davidson, 54, left Davidson beaten and bloodied, according to the police report.
Witnesses said people at the residence asked Howell to leave and moved his belongings to the front porch. Once outside, Howell began breaking the windows and windshield of Davidson's pickup with a board, according to the report.
Davidson told police he went to get a crowbar from the bed of his pickup when Howell hit him on the head with the board. The blow caused a gash and knocked Davidson to his knees, according to the report.
Davidson told police Howell hit him with the board multiple times on his shoulder and sides. Howell picked up the crowbar Davidson had dropped and hit him in the nose with it, according to the report.
Davidson told police he grabbed a knife to defend himself, and Howell also pulled out a knife. Davidson and two men chased Howell to the front yard when police arrived.
Police tried to detain Howell, who refused to obey commands and resisted arrest, according to the report.
Howell was taken to Oklahoma County jail. His bail was set at $8,000.
