Will Rogers World Airport officials on Thursday celebrated United Airlines' first nonstop from Oklahoma City to Cleveland. Passengers were treated to live music, refreshments and a souvenir gift during the event.

The new service supports the growing energy sector between Oklahoma City and northwest Ohio, where part of the Utica Shale is located, the airport said.

It also opens up connecting opportunities to cities along the East Coast.

The route will depart each weekday at 8:41 a.m. from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, arriving at Will Rogers World Airport at 10:33 a.m. Return flights depart at 11:03 a.m. and arrive in Cleveland at 2:26 p.m.
