Event promotes heart month
To promote heart health during National Heart Month, Body & Soul Fitness will present “got heart?” a free workout event from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 23 at the Oklahoma Fire Training Center, 850 N Portland.
The event is open to men and women ages 12 and older. It will feature a two-hour continuous workout showcasing a variety of exercises, including cardio, strength, dance and flexibility.
Educational exhibits from Integris Health and the Oklahoma City Fire Department will provide diet tips, heart health guidelines, warning signs for heart attack and stroke, and other information.

Church plans fundraiser auction
The third annual Wild On Wednesdays Lunch and Auction will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 24 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 10600 N Council Road.
The event will raise money for the church's Wild On Wednesdays summer youth program.
Life auction items include an Oklahoma City Thunder basket featuring floor seats to a Thunder game; a University of Oklahoma basket featuring four OU football tickets, a blanket and tailgating supplies; an Oklahoma State University basket featuring two OSU basketball tickets; an OSU football signed by the 2012 team members; a patriotic quilt and a quite made by the St. Paul's quilters. Interfaith leader to visit area
NORMAN — Welton Gaddy, president of the Interfaith Alliance, will be guest speaker at lectures and seminars set for March 1 and 2.
Gaddy will give a free lecture at 7 p.m. March 1 in the Kerr Auditorium at Sam Noble Museum of Natural History, 2401 Chautauqua Ave.
He also will conduct a seminar from 9 a.m. to noon March 2 at United Church of Norman-UCC, 1017 Elm.
The Interfaith Alliance is a national nonprofit nonpartisan organization that addresses the proper role of religion in the public square.
