Discussion series begins at Norman library
NORMAN — The Norman Public Library kicks off its Great Decisions 2013 Discussion Series with a presentation Thursday by former U.S. Ambassador Edwin G. Corr. He will speak at 6:30 p.m. in Rooms A and B at the library, 225 N Webster Ave. Corr was U.S. ambassador to Peru, Bolivia and El Salvador, as well as the charge d'affaires in Ecuador. He also served as deputy assistant secretary of state for international narcotics control. He is the author of five books and is general editor of the University of Oklahoma Press series in international and security affairs.
Noble library to host book sale
NOBLE — The Friends of the Noble Public Library's annual spring book sale is scheduled for March 1-3 at the library, 204 N 5th St. The sale begins with a “members only” early-bird sale from 5 to 8 p.m. March 1.
