NORMAN — Cindy Nashert has been sworn in as the newest member of the Norman School Board.
Nashert was administered the oath of office during a special board meeting Tuesday. The board also installed Don Shandy as president and Linda Sexton as board vice president.
On Thursday, Andy Sherrer was sworn in as a member of the board of education for Moore Norman Technology Center.
Nashert and Sherrer were elected to the posts in a Feb. 12 school board election. Nashert replaces Darry Stacy, who resigned to become a Cleveland County commissioner.
Sherrer replaces longtime board member Doris Wedge, who retired from that post this year.
