Regarding “Oklahoma law seems to give triple-digit speeders a pass” (News, Feb. 17): If the police want to stop the guilty, they should call a wrecker, give the guilty speeder a court date and a $1,000 ticket and then drive away. When the guilty speeder arrives in court and takes care of obligations, his vehicle would be returned when that's done.
Let's get rid of judges who are dismissing or deferring cases. We train and pay our police officers to bring the guilty people to court, sometimes putting their lives in danger, only to have the judge dismiss or defer the case.
