Oklahoma History Center brings Harriet Tubman to life

The Oklahoma History Center hosted “Harriet Tubman Live!” recently.

The Oklahoma History Center presented “Harriet Tubman Live!,” a program that highlights the life and achievements of one of American history's greatest heroines.

Tubman was played by Daisy Century.

During the program, Century as Tubman discussed her escape from slavery in 1849, her work on the Underground Railroad and her service as a scout and nurse for the Union Army.

Tubman died in 1913.
