Cold case story is just one more example of depth of coverage in The Oklahoman’s newsroom

We’ve had this story on our site for most of the day today. Currently, it one of our top stories on the site just below the weather coverage.

But I just came across it and think it’s a perfect example to highlight today.

Robert Medley served as the reporter who pulled together this cold case tale of two sisters who have been missing since 1985.

He reported. He wrote. He shot video.

That’s a lot of work for one person. But in the end, the readers of The Oklahoman and NewsOK.com win. And it’s the type of multimedia reporting that our reporters are doing every day  — and they’ve done it for years.

This feature is just a reminder of that.

Although there was no evidence of foul play in 1985, some family members think the girls — who were known to hitchhike frequently — were victims of a crime.
