On Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3, NatureWorks, Inc. will hold its 31st annual art show and sale.   This major fundraiser benefits conservation projects and education for NE Oklahoma and beyond.

Over 50 nationally-recognized artists will be at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center with their fine art for show and sale.

This year’s Featured Artist is Matthew Higginbotham, a former Tulsa resident,  now from Santa Fe, New Mexico.   Higginbotham credits an early pottery workshop at the Philbrook Museum with his start in the arts.  Now primarily painting landscapes, Higginbotham’s work hangs in galleries throughout the country.

Also returning this year as the Encore Artists is Jerry Ricketson who is joined by Guest Artist Jeff Ham.  Ricketson won the “Peoples’ Choice Award” at at the 2011 NatureWorks show and has had his works included in the Gilcrease Museum Collectors Reserve Shows in 2010 and 2011, and the Gilcrease American Arts in Miniature Show.   Ham, from Utah and Michigan, uses raw, bright, explosive colors to evoke emotion and draw attention to his subjects.
