Edmond school boundary meeting is reset for Thursday

School board officials canceled a meeting planned for Monday night because of bad weather. The session will address attendance assignments for the newest elementary school, Frontier Elementary.

— A question-and-answer session about Frontier Elementary is scheduled from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the board of education meeting room of the Edmond Public Schools Administration Center, 1001 W Danforth Road.

Board members will discuss attendance area assignments for the elementary school campus scheduled to open in August at N Pennsylvania Avenue between Danforth and Covell.

The school board is scheduled to vote on the proposed attendance boundaries in a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday.

Families with children living within the following housing neighborhoods are encouraged to attend Thursday's meeting: Danforth Farms, Fall Brooke, Hawthorne Place, Highland Park, Homestead, Kingsbury Ridge, La Sonata, North Country, Scissortail Landing, Skylers Court, Stonebriar and Thornhill.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Monday, but administrators rescheduled it because of inclement weather.
