Earthquake reported near Nicoma Park
U.S. Geological Survey reports a 3.5 earthquake in Oklahoma County, the second of two reported Wednesday. The first was a 2.5 magnitude earthquake four miles southeast of Choctaw.
NICOMA PARK — A 3.5 magnitude earthquake shook Oklahoma County about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake's epicenter was two miles southwest of Nicoma Park and 11 miles east of Oklahoma City.
Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said he has received reports minor of damage from residents, such as ceiling cracks and molding and pictures being knocked off.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported a smaller earthquake about 6:30 a.m. about four miles southeast of Choctaw and 15 miles east of Oklahoma City. It measured 2.5 magnitude.
No damage was reported in the first incident.
