OERB announces new member
Former state Rep. Danny Morgan has been appointed to the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. Morgan, a former Prague mayor who spent 10 years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, is president of Morgan Well Service Inc. and Digger Oil and Gas Co. He joins 20 other members of OERB's board. “Mr. Morgan has already dedicated so much of his time to helping share the industry's message,” OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt said. “His strong background in the industry and time in public office makes him a good fit for our forward-thinking board of directors. Blueknight seeks crude shippers
Blueknight Energy Partners LP will launch an open season next week to solicit shipper commitments to transport crude oil from southern New Mexico to Crane, Texas. Blueknight is proposing a 95-mile extension to its previously announced Pecos River Pipeline, which is expected to begin operating in the second quarter. “The Pecos River Pipeline extension establishes a critical link to the attractive Gulf Coast market hubs for producers and shippers actively drilling in the area,” CEO Mark Hurley said. “The proposed 95-mile extension will afford shippers and producers in the rapidly developing production area of New Mexico and around Pecos, Texas, a similar opportunity to efficiently and affordably move their crude to markets where they can optimize the price.” The extension's transportation capacity could reach up to 100,000 barrels of oil a day, depending on the response from producers and shippers. It could be in service by the first quarter of 2015.
