An Enduring Legacy: Photos of the Otoe-Missouria People
The Museum opens a small exhibition of historical photographs from the Otoe-Missouria tribe, now headquartered in Red Rock, Oklahoma. Once part of a single tribe that lived in the Great Lakes Region of the United States, the Otoe and Missouria separated in the 1500s and migrated west and south. Later, they were the first tribe to council with Lewis & Clark, and the states of Nebraska and Missouri are named after them.
