A Newalla man is accused of pouring bleach into a tractor-trailer gas tank, court papers show.

Perry Pate Ennis, 25, was charged Monday in Oklahoma County District Court with malicious injury and destruction of property, a misdemeanor.

The alleged incident occurred about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 3700 block of Pottawatomie Road in Newalla.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the driver of a tractor-trailer told a sheriff's deputy he was inside his trailer when he looked out the window and saw a man he identified as Ennis pouring Clorox bleach into the passenger side gas tank.

Ennis was questioned and arrested. He was released Feb. 7 from the Oklahoma County jail, records show.

The tractor-trailer's owner told the deputy it would cost $2,000 to $3,000 to repair the damage to the tractor-trailer and replace fuel, according to the affidavit.
