Oklahoma City man accused of breaking girlfriend's ribs, pouring bleach on her

A man accused of breaking his girlfriend's ribs and pouring bleach on her head is facing an assault charge, court records show.

Michael Paris Young, 45, of Oklahoma City, was charged Friday in Oklahoma County District Court with domestic abuse resulting in great bodily injury.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Young accused the woman of cheating on him and punched her multiple times in the face, chest and stomach with a closed fist. He then poured bleach on her head, police reported.

According to a doctor's report, the woman suffered “acute” fractures to four ribs on her left side and an “acute” fracture to the ring finger on her left hand, police said.

Young has prior convictions in Oklahoma County for domestic abuse by strangulation, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery, records show.

Young was not in custody Monday afternoon.
