Oklahoma City Council races to be decided Tuesday

Two Oklahoma City Council seats are up for grabs Tuesday during annual statewide municipal elections.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday for statewide municipal elections.

On the ballot locally are city council elections in Oklahoma City, Nicoma Park and Moore, as well as a school bond issue for residents in the Rose State College district.

Three filed for the Ward 1 seat on the Oklahoma City Council: James Greiner, incumbent Gary Marrs and Carolyn S. Sims.

Seven filed for the Ward 7 seat on the council: John E. Bilbury III, Lillie R. Buckner, Randon Gibson, incumbent Ronald “Skip” Kelly, John A Pettis Jr., Ben T. Robinson and Star Young.

Other races to watch include sales tax propositions in Enid and Newkirk and bond issues at Cushing and Kremlin-Hillsdale school districts.

Voting will take place at regular precinct polling places. Proof of identity is required to vote.
