Cat in the Hat, students mark Read Across America Day in Oklahoma City

Students in the Positive Tomorrows program visited residents at the Fountains at Canterbury in Oklahoma City Monday in conjunction with Read Across America Day.

Students in the Positive Tomorrows program Monday visited residents at the Fountains at Canterbury in conjunction with Read Across America Day.

National Read Across America Day celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday and the joys of reading. The National Education Association estimates that about 45 million people nationwide picked up a book to mark the occasion.

The Cat in the Hat, a popular character in some of Seuss' books, also made an appearance at the Fountains at Canterbury.
