When you’ve got to get it right

I absolutely loved meeting and interviewing Frank Zaitshik, the guy whose company brings in everything for the Oklahoma State Fair. There was a quote I found in my notebook that made me smile. I asked him how he felt on opening day of the fair. I expected him to say relieved or glad or something like that. Nope. He said even though everything would be ready and good to go, he still looks at it all with a critical eye. I love this quote:

In my mind, I think we’re all going to die and go to hell if everything isn’t perfectly ready at the – bang! – opening hour!

It’s good to know that somebody who’s in charge of the safety and health of thousands of visitors is that serious about things going right.
