Here’s some information about an event coming up next month that will benefit foster children in Oklahoma:

OKLAHOMA CITY – Citizens Caring for Children (CCC), a nonprofit organization providing clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, mentors and other necessities to foster children, is partnering with Harkins Theatre in Bricktown at 6 p.m. on Aug. 9 to present “A Night at the Movies.”

The event will feature a pre-screening of one of this summer’s blockbuster hits, however the movie not be revealed until show time. Guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, drinks, popcorn, swag bags and have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items featuring movie memorabilia. Tickets are $50 in advance and available by calling (405) 753-4099 or visiting www.citizenscaringforchildren.org.

The nonprofit is currently seeking tax-deductible donation of either goods or services to be auctioned at “A Night at the Movies.” All proceeds from this event fund the costs associated with serving Oklahoma foster children.
