My desk – before

This is my desk:

It’s obviously well organized. This week we’re shuffling desks a little bit in the newsroom, and I’m one of those who will be moving. My column tomorrow is about my efforts to clean up this craziness and carry it across the room. I just interviewed Shannon Cowan of Fresh Perspective Organizing Services. She’s based in Stillwater but has clients across the state. She’s a sweet gal who knows her stuff. Long story short, my desk is not sending the right message. It’s saying, “God help me! I can’t handle anything! I’m drowning in paper and files and junk!” Awesome. I’ll post an after picture when I dig out.
