Zoo needs help in final week to reach 1 million

After the zoo closed Sunday night, attendance for the year stood at 972,512. “Beginning at 9 a.m. today, the zoo needed 27,488 to hit the big mark,” spokeswoman Tara Henson said. Just a reminder: kids get in free through Thursday. And then you can see this lovely gal:
