God bless you, Dustin Roberts. Thank goodness you’re here! His office just sent out this news release.

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Dustin Roberts today urged Oklahomans to be careful during this extreme heat wave.

“I want to urge people to be careful in this heat,” Roberts (R-Durant) said. “In some parts of the state, it’s important to watch your water usage and everyone should be cautious about how much time they spend outside.”

Roberts said he is looking forward to studying water issues with his fellow lawmakers.

“These extreme heat and drought conditions are a good example of why we are need a comprehensive plan to ensure Oklahomans have first rights to their water,” Roberts said. “Lawmakers will be looking to create a new plan that takes into account our true needs for the next half-century. My hope is to ensure that our water is preserved for future generations and for parts of Oklahoma that need it most.”
