National Night Out … in the morning

Several metro-area cities celebrated National Night Out last night, while Oklahoma City opted to wait until Sept. 10 and 13 in the hopes of cooler weather. I support this plan. It’s too hot for an indoor picnic, let alone an outdoor one. But if it’s not cooler by Sept. 10, I’m moving to Alaska.

But just so OKC wouldn’t miss the boat completely, neighborhood leaders got together with Mayor Mick Cornett yesterday morning for a photo op:
