You’ve scrimped, you’ve saved, you’ve planned, you’ve purused. And then there are those few people left on your list – because you made a list! – who you just can’t find presents for. Let me just suggest charities. Of course, you can donate to any charity you like, but these are some of my favorites.

For the business-minded: The Institute for Economic Empowerment for Women. Help achieve peace and equality through business development. From the IEEW: The Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW) is a 501(c)3 non profit empowering women to grow their businesses, pursue greater entrepreneurial ventures, and become more active public policy advocates.

For the earth-conscious: Heifer International. Give a flock of geese, a beehive, a pig, a llama – anything. Heifer International helps people be self-sufficient. From Heifer International: Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.

For the new parents: Sunbeam Family Services. Help needy children start off on a level playing fields. From Sunbeam: Sunbeam provides specialized care and education for children, ages birth to five, with focus on developmental delays and behavioral/emotional issues.
