I want a dog named Oprah

We should have named our dog Oprah.

But instead, we left our one adopted dog with the name he already had – Deter - and named the second adoptee Skye. If only we had thought of Oprah! Or Cher or Beyonce. Such a missed opportunity. At least this cat here is named Oprah. She’s one of the lucky ones.

Petfinder.com, an online searchable database of adoptable animals, today released it’s rankings of most popular pet names for 2010. Oddly enough, Deter (short for determined) and Skye (named after a singer) were not on there. I won’t tell them; it would only hurt their feelings.
