Here’s one way to find loved ones in Joplin, Mo., after the horrible tornado that killed at least 89 people.

Go to www.redcross.org/safeandwell. If anybody has checked into a Red Cross shelter, their name goes on the list.

Thank you, Rusty Surette, regional communications director for the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Red Cross. He also said this:

During a disaster the biggest question we get is “how can Oklahomans help?” Our response is please donate to Red Cross Disaster Relief. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
