Entries sought for Norman’s 89er Day Parade

Organizers of Norman’s annual 89er Day Parade have issued a call for entries. The parade is April 20 in downtown Norman.

NORMAN — Registration is open for this year’s 89er Day Parade, which is set for April 20 in downtown Norman.

The parade commemorates April 22, 1889, the day parts of Oklahoma that now include Guthrie, Kingfisher, Oklahoma City and Norman were opened to settlement. Parade organizers have issued a call for entries that reflect this year’s theme, which is “Workin’ Up a Storm.”
