In addition to McGuinness' Alexis Sadeghy, here are some golfers from in and around the Oklahoma City metro area to keep an eye on this season:

Boys

Max McGreevy, Edmond Santa Fe: The OU signee will try to repeat as 6A champ and the Wolves will try to unseat eight-time defending champ Edmond North.

Griffin Pierce, Edmond North: Golf fans have known about the Huskies' junior trio of Hayden Wood, Nick Heinen and Sam Humphreys for a couple years, but Pierce, another junior, has come on strong, including a win against tough competition in Ardmore earlier this month.

Zac Shaefer, OCS: As a sophomore last year, Shaefer finished tied for fifth at state.

Girls

Allison Sell and Maddie Luitweiler, Edmond North: Sell won the 6A state title by two strokes last season, and is back to defend the title as a senior. Luitweiler had a standout freshman season last year.

Caroline Goodin, Deer Creek: The OCU signee leads a stout Antlers squad looking for hardware in Class 5A.

Anna Mikish and Kina Boone, Choctaw: The Yellowjacket duo was strong a year ago and are back for more as seniors.
