FORT SUPPLY – Authorities are searching for a man who escaped Sunday from the William S. Key Correctional facility.

Floyd L. Miller, 42, was discovered missing from the minimum security prison about 7:30 a.m. He is serving 15 years for manufacturing methamphetamine, according to Department of Corrections records.

Linda Eike, a spokeswoman for the prison, said Miller was present for the 5:45 a.m. count. The prisoners were allowed into the yard for breakfast and then returned for a 7:30 a.m. count, when Miller was discovered missing.

“He could have walked away, he could have been picked up by a car, there are lots of possibilities,” Eike said. “We don't have a fence around out perimeter.”

Miller arrived at the prison last month. He has a previous conviction for extortion.

Miller is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 154 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. Eike said anyone who sees him should call local law enforcement. has disabled the comments for this article.
