OSU basketball: Know the opponent — Oregon

Under-seeded.

That was the phrase thrown around multiple times Sunday on college basketball shows and Twitter regarding Oklahoma State's first NCAA Tournament opponent — Oregon.

The 12th-seeded Ducks earned an automatic bid via their win in the Pac-12 tournament championship game, where they beat No. 21 UCLA.

Here is what you need to know about the team and school:

* Opponent: Oregon

* Record: 26-8 overall, 12-6 Pac-12

* Seed: 12

* Conference: Pac-12

* League finish: tie for third

* NCAA berth: Automatic; conference tournament champion

* RPI rank: 46

* Star player – E.J. Singler

The brother of former Duke star Kyle Singler and a first-team All-Pac 12 pick, he's just the 13th player in Oregon history to total more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. Singler averages 11.6 points and 4.9 rebounds a game.
