Who will own Ardmore's newest water tower?

ARDMORE -- In 2008, the Ardmore Public Works Authority made a land purchase deal with the Ardmore Develpment Authority to build a new water tower.

Now, there's a question of ownership, of the land and of all the improvements -- including the water tower.

The Daily Ardmoreite reports that IMTEC Corporation leased the property from the development authority in July 2001. As part of the agreement, IMTEC got an option to purchase the land and improvements by notifying the authority in writing of its intent to do so.

That was reiterated in a correction quit-claim deed five years later. Then, in January, the city was notified in writing by IMTEC that it wanted to take ownership of of the land and all improvements.

All signs now are involved in determining who will get what.
