‘Earth Hour’: Let there be dark Published: March 21, 2013

BROKEN ARROW -- City officials in Broken Arrow are ready to turn off the lights ... for an hour.

The city will join those throughout the world that will be taking part Saturday in "Earth Hour," when they will turn off nonessential lights and computers when not in use.

The Broken Arrow Ledger reports that public safety sites and lights illuminating flags will not be included.

The event is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. Oklahoma time.
