A brother and sister, armed with a stun gun, assaulted and robbed a Sonic carhop during a string of robberies Wednesday in northwest Oklahoma City, police said.

Derrick Wadlington, 19, and Khayla Wadlington, 18, were arrested about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday on three complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon, robbery by force or fear, and two complaints of attempted robbery and kidnapping.

A man and woman pulled into a Sonic at 19205 N Western Ave. and ordered a bag of mints. When the carhop came out with their order, police said, the man forced her into the front seat.

Police said the sister allegedly used the stun gun on the carhop eight or nine times, including several shocks to her head. The man grabbed money from her apron and ripped the coin holder off her waist. The woman told the man she liked the carhop's ring, so he took it off her finger.

Their car was spotted by police heading south on N Pennsylvania Avenue, and police pulled them over at 2101 NW 159.

Two other robbery/assaults also were reported earlier in the night. The victims in those cases identified the brother and sister as the ones who had harmed them, police said.

Both Khayla Wadlington and Derrick Wadlington were taken to the Oklahoma Count jail. Bail was set at $125,000 for each.
