BRUNSWICK, GA -- When she got back from the hospital with a bullet wound to her leg, Sherry West invited WAWS-TV into her living room still littered with items belonging to her baby boy, Antonio.
The 13-month-old was killed just a few hours earlier. She says it was during a robbery attempt by a couple of kids.
She says she was walking her child in his stroller just yards from their Brunswick, Georgia home at about 9 a.m.
"Two boys approached me. Two African American boys. One of them was about 15," said West. "He said, 'I'm going to kill you if you don't give me money,' and I said, 'I swear I don't have any.'
"I put my arms over my baby and he shoves me and then he shot my baby right in the head," said the child's tearful mother.
