EDMOND — Police are continuing to investigate the vandalism of nine vehicles, including a city police car and Logan County sheriff's deputy's sport utility vehicle, in a southwest Edmond neighborhood.
One Edmond police car was vandalized twice, said Jennifer Monroe, Edmond police spokeswoman.
The vandalism started March 15 in the Chisholm Lake and Mill Valley housing additions, located between Edmond Road and 15th Street and Santa Fe and Kelly avenues. The neighborhood is just north of Santa Fe High School.
The vandalism occurred on Gray Fox Drive and San Simeon Drive.
Spray paint was used to write messages and draw pictures on cars, pickups and sport utility vehicles.
The Logan County vehicle also had a taillight shot out by a BB gun, Monroe said.
On Monday, an Edmond police officer patrolled the area until midnight, and there was no vandalism. A call came in less than 30 minutes later that several vehicles had been vandalized, Monroe said.
Police are checking security system cameras in the area to determine if the vandalism was caught on tape.
Anyone with information should call 359-4443.
