Dirty Projectors’ Mount Wittenberg Orca released

Last week we told you about Brooklyn-based Norman Music Festival alumnus Dirty Projectors side-LP project with Björk, Mount Wittenberg Orca (pictured above).

The record was released today and is available here for purchase. It’s an interesting one and a must-have for fans and anybody who liked what they heard at the Norman Music Festival Main Stage back in April. Sonic distraction fades away as Amber Coffman, Angel Deradoorian and Haley Dekle’s voices combine to melodically weave about, shepherded by that of mother whale Björk. George Lang was born in Oklahoma City and raised in Houston and Tulsa. Following graduation from Jenks High School, Lang spent time in the military before studying journalism at the University of Oklahoma.
Beginning in 1994, Lang covered crime stories and local media, culminating in coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing and the many stories surrounding that tragedy. By the late 1990s, Lang's focus shifted to fine arts, features and popular culture, ultimately leading to his current position as assistant entertainment editor for The Oklahoman and editor of LOOKatOKC.
His blog, StaticBlog, was one of the first blogs on NewsOK.com. He his wife have one son, and they currently live in Oklahoma City.
