WOODWARD — A Buffalo man was killed when his truck crashed into a trailer east of Woodward Friday.

Chandler Craig Farmer, 23, died after the 2009 Mack truck he was driving collided with a 16-foot trailer carrying an oil field pump and caught fire on State Highway 15 at 8:25 p.m.

Friday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The other driver, Kenneth Roy Crowe, was pulling the trailer when his 2010 Ford pickup had a blowout. Crowe, 19, lost control of the truck and crossed the center line. Farmer was pronounced dead at the scene. Crowe was unhurt.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol concluded unsafe tires on Crowe's vehicle led to the crash.
