A suspicious package was found Monday morning outside the Federal Aviation Administration building near Will Rogers World Airport, authorities report.

The package reportedly contained a white powder, Oklahoma City fire Deputy Chief Marc Woodard said.

FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said the package was found in the mail room at the aeronautical center, 6500 S MacArthur Blvd. He said no FAA operations were interrupted outside of the mail room.

The building is about a mile from Will Rogers World Airport. The airport was not affected, spokeswoman Karen Carney said.
