An Oklahoma City man was arrested after a police officer witnessed him assaulting a teenager, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Levi Clayton Eden, 28, was arrested Sunday on complaints of assault and battery and violation of the Domestic Abuse Act.

An officer responding to a disturbance call about 12:50 p.m. in the 7600 block of S Walker Avenue was told a man was throwing a boy around, according to the report.

The officer reports he saw the man pick up the victim and slam him to the ground. The officer yelled at the man several times to stop, but the man was “very focused” on assaulting the teenager and he did not notice the officer until he was within arms' length, according to the report.

The officer cuffed Eden to stop him from hitting the teenager, according to the report.

The 15-year-old told police he and Eden went to church earlier. The teen said he coughed during the service and Eden thought the teen laughed.

They argued about it on their way home and during the argument, Eden became angry and grabbed the teenager, according to the report.

The 15-year-old tried to run away from Eden and punched him in the nose, the report stated.

Eden and the teenager were living in the same house.

Eden was taken to the Oklahoma County jail and was released later that day.

The teen was released to his brother, police said.
