Oklahoma City choir to perform Handel's works

The Ambassador's Concert Choir will perform “Too Hot to Handel,” a Maundy Thursday concert, at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5700 N Kelley.

The Ambassadors' Concert Choir will perform “Too Hot to Handel,” a Maundy Thursday concert, at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5700 N Kelley.

Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, is the day many Christian commemorate Jesus' Last Supper with the apostles as described in the Gospels.

The concert will feature the 80-member choir plus an orchestra of college and community musicians.

Guest soloists include Daniel Lucas, Deonna Cattledge, Brenda Seward Johnson and Alonzo Cowles Jr.

Tickets are $15. Child care will be provided.
