Faith and business mix to be discussed in Oklahoma City

David Green, founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby, will be keynote speaker of the Entrepreneur of Faith Conference set for Saturday at Crossings Community Center in Oklahoma City.

Doing business God's way is the theme of the Entrepreneur of Faith Conference set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Crossings Community Center, 2208 W Hefner Road.

The conference is presented by Lisa Miller Baldwin, CEO and founder of the Wonderfully Made Foundation.

David Green, founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby, will be keynote speaker.

Other speakers and presenters include Marnie Taylor, CEO of the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits; the Rev. James Fortune, pastor of Oasis Church in Edmond; the Rev. George Young, pastor of Holy Temple Baptist Church; Sharron Jackson, president of the Black Chamber of Commerce; attorney Richard Parr with Tomerlin High & High law firm; and attorney Sacia Fowler with Chesapeake Energy.

In 1972, Green founded a small retail store to sell the picture frames he was manufacturing. With a small loan and his retail experience, the store began to grow over the years into the retail chain known as Hobby Lobby craft and supply store.

Baldwin said the conference is designed for entrepreneurs, small business professionals, business owners and potential entrepreneurs.

Registration is $36.95.
