NFL Combine: Brody Eldridge interview
Oklahoma tight end Brody Eldridge stopped by the NFL Combine media room Friday. Here is a transcript of the interview.
What’s the week been like?
It’s been pretty busy. Up early, back in the room late. Doing something the whole time.
What have you been doing so far?
Yesterday was the longest day, saw the doctors. MRIs and stuff. I was at the hospital four hours.
Is that a good sign?
I have no idea.
How are you?
I’m doing great.
What exactly happened to you on the injury?
They called it a stress fracture, C-6, in my neck. I had to rest up. Wear a collar for six weeks. Just rest. Started lifting here about a month ago.
Where do NFL teams want you to play?
“Tight end. Fullback, too.”
Have you talked with any team personnel?
“I’ve talked to a few tight end coaches, on an informal interview basis. They grab you, talk to you.”
Does nature of the NFL style appeal to you, the smashmouth?
“That’s what I like to do. Very much so. That’s the next level, too. I want to keep on playing.”
