College football: Big 12 leads bowl standings

As we hit January, the Big 12 leads the bowl standings. The Big 12 is 5-1 in bowl games, with its only loss Iowa State’s 27-13 setback against Rutgers. The Big 12 has just two games left: OSU-Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl, Kansas State-Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl. Here are the standings:

Big 12: 5-1 (two teams left, Kansas State and OSU)

Mid-American: 4-1 (one, Northern Illinois)

SEC: 2-1 (six, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, LSU)

Big East: 2-1 (two, Pitt, West Virginia)

Big Ten: 2-2 (Penn State, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Michigan)

Sun Belt: 1-1 (Arkansas State)

Conference USA: 1-1 (Houston, SMU)

Independents: 1-1

Mountain West: 2-3

ACC: 2-4 (Clemson, Virginia Tech)

WAC: 0-3

Pac-12: 1-4 (Stanford, Oregon)
