Big 12 football is developing some clarity. Particularly at the top. Here are this week’s rankings:

1. Kansas State (4-0, 7-0): The Wildcats have few obstacles left, though home against Tech next Saturday certainly qualifies.

2. Oklahoma (3-1, 5-1): The Sooners are poised to leap should K-State fall.

3. Texas Tech (3-1, 6-1): A couple of impressive victories for the Red Raiders, a home rout of West Virginia and a triple overtime survival at TCU.

4. West Virginia (2-2, 5-2): Crazy as it sounds, the Mountaineers have two non-Kansas wins, which put them ahead of TCU and OSU.

5. Texas (2-2, 5-2): Crazy as it sounds, the Longhorns aren’t in terrible shape, schedule-wise. The ‘Horns play at Kansas on Saturday and still host Iowa State and TCU.

6. OSU (2-1, 4-2): The schedule really heats up from here on out.

7. Iowa State (1-2, 4-3): Cyclones played tough against K-State, not so much against O-State.

8. TCU (2-2, 5-2): Horned Frogs were a whisker from being much higher, but Tech prevailed.

9. Baylor (0-3, 3-3): Bears will be hard-pressed to make a bowl.

10. Kansas (0-4, 1-6): Jayhawks are better under Charlie Weis, but it’s hard to tell.
